No one ever tried to understand me,
Nor did they try to learn the reasons for my cries.
So many people all around,
Yet I became the prey of their neglect.
Deceit
I never understood,
Even those cool eyes could be false.
That innocent gaze could lie.
I leaned on it as if the whole world rested there,
as if it were my very own light.
But in the end, when I opened my own eyes,
I found everything pale, mistaken and full of deceit.
What Did You Gain
You could have made a home with me,
Yet you broke my heart and took no blame for breaking it.
You could have given us wholeness too.
Tell me, what did you gain,
By leaving me with this endless emptiness?
Mistake
Raised with little care, I am a flower without fragrance.
Even if everyone in the world were right,
It seems I alone remain the mistake.
Circumstance
Refusing to understand someone’s situation is the worst trait among people.
We always remember what someone did and how much they did.
But we forget, under what circumstances did they do that?
Or is it that they’re now in a situation where they can’t do anything for me?
Just pause and see, could I be the one to do something for them instead?
