People aren’t lost, they simply stop checking once the need is over.
Those I stood by when they needed me, who called me their own,
are the ones who no longer remember me today.
They sit beneath the same sky, on the same earth as I do.
That is the debt of distance, today I do not come when they are in need.
Remorseless
They cause sorrow,
then blame their own mistakes on others.
They do not nurture remorse,
instead they point their finger and heap on more blame.
Will Not Return
Why let tears fall and then put out the light?
For whom do you keep waiting still?
Accept it, they will not return.
They never truly loved you.
You and My Monotony
You said I was careless.
Yet I had grown careless because you said you would organize me.
You called me foolish.
I wore the mask of a fool because you’d explain things to me.
You said I didn’t know how to love.
So I let my heart fallow, saving love for the day you would love me.
I made myself dull on purpose, so you might like me more.
Wrong Asking
I did not ask from the one who could give anything, who lacked nothing.
I asked from the one I thought would give, but to whom I shouldn’t have asked.
When I sought from a third party and found sorrow,
I realized I had been asking in the wrong place.
By then, it was already far too late.
