A Stranger
When rights change, names change too.
My you, becomes someone who once was mine.
Secret love still remains,
From afar, we see each other sometimes.
Only new complications are born in speech and sight!
After all, we are strangers now!
A Stained Man
A man’s honor is his self-respect!
Love, that too stains a man.
It smears lime and soot on a man’s face.
And brands his forehead with disgrace!
All Is Past
It is better to breathe out a sigh yourself than to become someone’s sigh.
Better to be deceived than to carry a curse on your own neck by deceiving someone.
In a temporary life, how long can one remain happy by deceiving others?
And how long must one carry the burning of being deceived?
Close your eyes and everything becomes past.
Hidden in the Grave
Feelings have died, the chest has become a grave.
Do not pluck the flowers there, my dear.
If you tear the flowers of the grave, the feelings will suffer!
From that suffering comes the fear of self-destruction.
From that fear, hiding inside the grave.
Religion as Business
The warehouse is on fire,
Pour water into the grocery shop!
Floods have drowned villages,
Build bridges in the city!
The hungry do not get food,
Send the leftover offerings to the wealthy!
Has humanity died?
Push it through in the name of religion!
After a Long Time
No desires remain! I have no happiness.
No love, I do not even exist.
You do not know either! How would you?
How many days have passed since we last knew each other?
How long has it been since our destinations went separate ways?
A Strange Life
What a strange life I am a witness to.
Fire burns in the heart, becomes visible in the eyes.
And life burns away!
In Waiting
Who will come? You, or the angel of death!
Who will go to whom first?
You to my home, or I to the Creator’s home!
Which will happen first?
Our union, or death!
Life passes this way, waiting after waiting.
Silent in the Name of Relationship
Everything turns false!
Even the word trust loses its meaning!
When someone tries to prove themselves pure,
When someone tries to show me evidence of loyalty.
Yet I had found proof of their betrayal long ago.
Perhaps I remain silent in the name of relationship.
Dream
Can there not be such a morning?
I open my eyes and see you beside me.
Can there not come such a night?
A night that is not of your memories!
Rather, I drift away in stories with you?
Can such a danger not arrive then?
When you hold my hand and say,
We will manage this.
Calm me with a gentle smile!
