The Downfall of Human Civilization

: What causes this downfall of humankind in the name of civilization?

: Because we are human.
It is humans who, for their own interests, have brought rules and changes to the world under the banner of civilization. Yet, by nature’s decree, those very individuals who once introduced such changes have perished with time.
They never changed the world for others’ needs, but for their own.
And after their deaths, those changes bring decline more than benefit to the rest.
Thus, human civilization keeps heading toward its own ruin,
ironically, in the name of progress.
Until mankind discovers a truly impartial form of civilization, no matter how advanced it claims to be, true civility will never be achieved.

Distance

The chapter that felt heavenly to me
Was merely a rough draft of a novel to you.
What you forgot so easily, deeming it unnecessary,
Is where my entire life remains trapped.

Ash After Use

Wherever I pawned myself in exchange for trust,
I never received equal worth.
Everyone used me, leaving only debt unpaid.
And yet, by day’s end, I alone became the useless ash,
While all others turned into chests of precious gems.

The Claw of Deceit

The moment you realized I loved you,
You made my heart your plaything,
Calling yourself “unhappy,”
You threw me into the claws of deception.
Then you closed every door meant for me.
Neither your watery eyes nor trembling voice
Could turn you back,
No affection was left for me.
You never cared to know,
How my nights pass sleepless without you,
How every dawn arrives dull and weary in your absence.

In Search of Selfish Happiness

The path of shared joy has split today.
So we walk our separate ways,
Seeking our own happiness,
Chasing the unknown.
Yet once, hand in hand, we vowed
To share our joy together,
To endure storms and tempests as one.
