Mask – 2
I cannot keep wearing a mask,
nor pretend to be the good man they want to see.
Loneliness feels far more beautiful to me for in solitude, no mask is needed for safety.
Growing Up
The boy who once lay in his mother’s lap for even the slightest headache,
now walks to work with a head full of pressure and a body aching with illness.
It’s clear the boy has grown up.
Beloved of Need – 2
When needs are gone, people change.
Even their words take a different shape.
You remain dear to someone only as long as you can fulfill,
You remain dear to someone only as long as you can fulfill,
the desires and hopes they hold for you.
Pride
My greatest wish is to be my mother’s pride.
If I had the power, I would gather all the happiness of this world and spread it within her shawl.
Then I’d say,
“Take as much as you need, Mother,
and give the rest away to everyone.”
And through this, all would honor you.
If only, in this way I could become your pride before the world.
And through this, all would honor you.
If only, in this way I could become your pride before the world.
Flaws
No human is flawless.
Yet you have only learned to point out the flaws of others.
Never to see your own nor to correct them.
